About Astro Domes

Designed by an astronomer for astronomers, Astro Domes are spacious enough to accommodate all your astronomical needs and your equipment is ready for immediate use.

Astro Domes can house telescopes up to 2.5m in length, (much larger in the 6.25m dome) and provide storage for:

• accessories
• chart tables or shelves
• astrophotography, photometry, computers and CCD imaging equipment

The revolutionary design enables easy access through a rollover hatch (no need to duck), which then provides unobstructed viewing from zenith to horizon.

The Astro Dome rotates smoothly on a unique system of nylon wheels allowing either manual or motor driven dome rotation. The electrical shutter can be operated by a 12V battery (optional extra).

Other advantages are that Astro Domes enhance your viewing pleasure by eliminating unwanted obtrusive light, provide the best protection from those windy/cold nights, secure and protect your valuable astronomical equipment and create the perfect ambience and space for you to share the experience with up to 15 guests. Astro Domes are uniquely leak-proof.
